Hydrabad Holiday Park

Named after the shipwreck on our beach (the Hydrabad was driven ashore during high seas in 1878 and is still visible today), the Hydrabad Holiday Park is a great place to bring the family for a relaxing holiday. We have a great play area with:

• 3 trampolines
• Swings
• Slide
• A camp hall

Turn off SH 1, between Levin and Foxton. The Hydrabad Holiday Park is a quiet family park at the popular Waitarere Beach.

Beaches

Five minutes' walk from a lovely, safe swimming beach that stretches north to the Manawatu River and south to the Hokio River. Our beach also boasts good fishing, both off the beach and offshore, with boat-launching a breeze.

Matariki Forest

The nearby Matariki Forest is a great place to take a leisurely walk. Every year it hosts Great Forest Events, the only forest marathon in New Zealand.

Other Attractions

The domain at the rear of the camp has tennis courts and is just a short walk to the Ocean Blue takeaway shop and restaurant, a dairy, café and a very welcoming and friendly bowling club.
